Day by day, days pile up before my eyes. Simply by being human, we submit to the unspoken rule that each day begins when we open our eyes. Some stay awake through the night, trying to grasp the fleeting hours, while others put off sleep, thinking they can catch up later. Yet, we all eventually succumb to an inescapable, deep slumber. And that fact, though always vague, feels intimately tied to life itself. The truth that time flows equally for everyone, including me, constantly unsettles me within the confines of a single day. Yet, when I step back and observe the trajectory of that time, it brings an inexplicable sense of relief.
